Air India AI 171, Dreamliner’s Airline Airline with Ahmedabad on Thursday (12 June 2025) almost reflects 1 January 1978 flight Air India AI 855, named Emperor Ashoka, Boeing 747-237 B.
Like the Flight AI 171, which crashed in a few minutes after takeoff to the residential area near the airport, the Flight AI 855 plunged into the sea near the airport, off the coast of Bandra, within 3 km from the flying distance at night due to the captain’s disorientation soon after the tool failure and killed all 190 passengers and 23 crew members. The flight went to Dubai.
“This was one of the largest air disasters Air India and the General Directorate for Civil Aviation (DGCA) took strict steps after the investigation and level of security increased significantly,” said Jitender Bhargava, former Executive Director of Air India and an aerial expert.
According to the investigation report, the aircraft turned after one minute of take -off after crossing the coast and soon after it turned left and never got a level. He lost altitude and then born into the sea.
Terrorist
June 23, 1985, Air India Flight AI 182, Boeing 747-237 B, named Emperor Kanishka, threw air into the air due to a terrorist attack on the Cork coast in Ireland in the Atlantic Ocean and killed 307 passengers and crews. The flight came from Montreal to Bombai.
Other deadly air accidents concerning Indian carriers include Indian Airlines Flight 605, Airbus A320, which crashed on February 14, 1990 while approaching the Bengalur Airport and killed 92 out of 146 people aboard.
The plane descended very low and hit the ground.
Indian Airlines Flight 113, Boeing 737-200, crashed on October 19, 1988 on its approach to Ahmedabad Airport. The flight that came from the bombai hit the trees and hit a short track and killed 133 out of 135 people on board.
