Gill unveils India’s batting order
Meanwhile, India captain Shubman Gill has confirmed the team’s top four batsmen for the five-match ODI series against New Zealand.Gill said there will be four right-handed batsmen in the top order – himself, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer. The team will follow a flexible approach for the No.5 and No.6 positions, with KL Rahul and Axar Patel available depending on the situation.“We will have a floating approach for No.5 and No.6. Our back four is set, all right-handers. So if a left-hander is needed, Axar bhai goes and depending on the match situation, KL bhai can go. So a bit flexible,” Gill said at the pre-match press conference ahead of the first ODI.India will begin their five-match ODI series against New Zealand in Auckland on November 4.
