The Office against the Thelangana (TGANB) Narcotic Office organized the first convergence meeting of law enforcement authorities on Thursday at the Integrated Center for checking the MINI Conference in Banjara Hills in Hyderabad.
The sessions were joined by higher officers from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Goa and Tamil Nadu, along with central agencies, including the Dri (DRI) (DRI), attorney (BOI) and Abols Directorate.
The meeting was convened to deal with the growing complexity of trading in narcotic drugs in India, especially in the states of border and transit sharing. Officials considered the need for a structured interstate coordination mechanism, timely sharing of intelligence and surgical synergy to fight developing threats that represent international syndicates, synthetic proliferation of the drug, digital trading methods and trading trades.
Telangana DGP Jitender launched a meeting and repeated the policy of zero tolerance of Telangana against drug -related offenses. He called on officers from all participating states and agencies to closely cooperate to solve drug threats. Tganb, Sandeep Shandilya, emphasized the importance of regular intelligence sharing during interstate operations. He also called for strict implementation of section 64 (a). A) of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances (NDP) by identifying drug users and ensuring their recommendations to centers of addicted court proceedings.
Dig Abhishek Mohanta and SP Ch. Rupesh of Tganb introduced an overview of the current drug trafficking scenario in Telangana. They emphasized the growing use of digital tools, encrypted platforms and trans-frame networks in narcotic smuggling, emphasizing the urgent need for improved coordination between the agency.
The meeting concerned key areas such as regional trafficking routes with people and Hotspot location, sharing information about the main traders, usual perpetrators, accused escapes and waiting for inability. Officials discussed the creation of a platform for the exchange of intelligence information and the design of standard operational procedures for processing trans-border operations, including terrain, legal processes and logistics.
The discussion has also expanded to topics such as cooperation for financial investigation and unfolding the financial trails of the main traders. The agencies were encouraged to share their technological skills, including forensic tools, and together to provide educational programs to strengthen regional capacity.
Among the involved officers were Varsha Sharma, Dig From Goa; P. Vimaladitya, Dig of Kerala; Sharada banquet, special IGP from Maharashtra; K. Nagesh Babu, SP from Andhra Pradesh; Maidavagann, SP from Tamil over; and MC Shiva Kumar, DSP from Karnataka.
All delegates emphasized the need to reduce supply and demand. On the recovery side, this includes the arrest of the accused persons and performing a common operation. On the preventive party, emphasis was placed on public awareness campaigns and identification of drug users for rehabilitation.
The meeting was closed by a consensus on the establishment of an interstate coordination framework with designated node officers, designing common instructions for field and legal coordination and development of formats for regular data exchange and review between the agency. The Assembly is expected to improve the results of enforcement by strengthening operational harmonization, mutual trust and legal coordination across state lines in the fight against narcotics.
