The government said on Wednesday that it was open to discussions if some group faced difficulties after announcing new school timing in the state.
This step comes after a Muslim scholar and President Samasth Keral Jamiyathul Ulama Jifri Muthukoya Thang has expressed concern that a revised schedule would affect Madrass’s education for approximately 12 Lakh students.
Mr. Thangal raised this question in the post, attended by the main Minister Pinaraya Vijayan.
Samastha Kerala Jamiyathul Ul-Ilama, known as Samastha, is the Association of Sunni Scientists who have the highest support base between Keraral Muslims.
General Minister of Education V. Sivankutty, responding to concerns, said the government is ready to listen and consider changes if necessary.
The revised timing, which was announced earlier on the day, extended the school day by 15 minutes at morning and evening sessions, with the exception of Friday.
According to the new schedule, secondary school classes will take place from 9:15 to 16:15
When he spoke to the news channel, Mr. Sivanku said that the government is not necessary in this matter.
He said that this was not framed by the Ministry of Education on the basis of a government decision, but followed by the court directive and decision of the Commission.
“Yet, if a section is faced with difficulty because of new timing, the government organizes discussions with them and introduces a system that does not cause any problems to anyone,” Sivankutty said.
