Eight laborers were electrocuted while working on a road construction project in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district on Monday (November 2, 2026), police said.

The incident took place in Chhapoli village under Udaipurwati police station.

Station House Officer (SHO) Udaipurwati Rampal said that the machine used for mixing gravel came in contact with the overhead power line.

“The machine came into contact with a high voltage line and caused an electric current to pass through it. The workers who were working there were electrocuted,” he said.
