The department and excise taxes will perform a lottery of June 13 to select a recipient for 28 bar licenses, of which 24 are Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and four in rural neighborhoods.
According to officials, GHMC bars received a total of 3,520 applications, while 148 applications came to the bars in rural places. The Commissioner for Prohibition and Consumer Tax C. Harikiran issued a notice of reviving closed columns across these regions, while the selection process was made by random draw.
For GHMC stripes, the lottery will be carried out at addresses and exhibition centers in Narsing in Gandipet. Applicants were asked to arrive within 9 am, carrying their entry cards and valid identification. Mobile phones will not be allowed at the venue and the entry will be regulated on the basis of token numbers issued to applicants.
Officials stated that applicants have already been informed by e -mail and WhatsApp about the draw and the required documents.
In rural districts, similar lotteries will be carried out under the supervision of district collectors.
