
Skywatchers around the world were treated from Tuesday night to the beginning of Wednesday by a rare and radiant lunar spectacle – a strawberry month that shone with soft pink and orange shades and looked unusually low in the sky.

Warm tones of the moon were particularly visible: New York City, Florida, Great Britain, Cyprus, Italy and India.

The full moon reached the summit of the brightness at 3:44 am on Wednesday, according to the farmer’s almanac
