
The BBC World Service released a two -part document called “The Killing Call” on Tuesday, focusing on the murder of the popular singer Pandjáby Sidhu Moosewala. The release continued despite the legal application from Moosewal’s father, Balcaur Singh, who turned to the Mansse trial to try to prevent it from being displayed.

The court refuses a temporary block, sets the date of hearing
Civic judge Rajinder Singh Nagpal heard the case filed by Balkaur Singh, but refused to issue a temporary order to stop the document. The Court of Justice has now stated the case for a complete hearing.
Singh named the BBC and two individuals – Isleen Kaur and Ankur Jain – as respondents.
Balkaur’s lawyer Satinder Pal Singh said that the family believes that the document could affect the ongoing criminal proceedings for murdering Moosewaly and violate their right to privacy.

Father says family permission was ignored
In earlier complaints of the CEO of the police in Mahara and the police station Juhu Balkaur Singh, he claimed that the BBC used the name Sidhu Moosewaly, a picture and a life story without obtaining a family permission.
He also claimed that the invitations were sent to people who claim to share “unknown details” about a late singer – something they believe could harm his son’s reputation.

The document focuses on fame, crime and unanswered questions
The BBC two -part document includes Sidhu Moosewala’s journey and tragic death. The first episode looks at his early life, his rise to fame and the controversy he faced. The second episode focuses on the events leading to his murder on May 29, 2022 in the Pandjab Mansa district.

Moosewal’s killing
Sidhu Moosewal, whose real name was Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, was shot in daylight when traveling without police protection. His death shocked people throughout India and the global pandjab community.
The 28 -year -old singer was attacked by shooters who fired more than 30 bullets. Local residents later found out that his vehicle had fallen in the seat of the driver.
Goldy Brar, which is assumed that he is associated with Lawrence Bishnoi Gang, publicly demanded responsibility for murder. Since then, he has been declared an “individual terrorist” by the Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA).
The investigation is still ongoing. No one has been convicted and Brar remains on the run.
