Tamil Nadu had to give up almost 130 super-specificity medical seats for All India (AIQ) candidates before performing his second round. This was after the Directorate General of the Health Services (DGHS) asked the state to return the unoccupied in-service chair of the Medical Advisory Committee (MCC) for all Indian counseling.
The decision was criticized by the Association of Medical Officers Tamil Nadu (TNMOA) because it considers this to be a 50% reservation for candidates in operation. The State Secretary of TNMOA M. Akilan said that two rounds of consulting for 215 seats of super specialties reserved for doctors are usually held. “IT IS ONLY AFTER THIS THIS WASTS WOULD BE SURRENDED FOR THE AIQ. BUT THIS TIME, The State Has Surrendered the Seats Before Conducting the Second Round. As of Now Or Asked the Government Before Deciding on this Move.
Official sources said the state has taken this problem with DGHS because doctors protested strongly against the surrender of seats. Tamil Tamil Nadu Health P. Senthilkuhar wrote 9 June DGHS and Minister of Health Trade Union and stated that, according to the Supreme Court, 50% of seats in super-specificity courses at government medical universities in Tamil Nadu reserved for services. Consulting Neet Super Specialties (SS) for state quota candidates was completed on 27 May and 29.
He said that several representations were received in the second round of the state quota. Therefore, all chairs reserved for them should be listed in the second round of state counseling, because 50% of the seats are reserved exclusively for candidates in operation. He was looking for timely intervention to allow candidates to gain the full advantage of the Supreme Court’s order.
In the letter of 3 June, DGHS asked Tamil over to return vacancies. DGHS referred to the request for the selection committee of Tamil over the MCC to submit the state schedule for the second round of Consulting Neet SS to allow modernization to the candidates and fill the remaining service chairs before giving up advice to AIQ. However, he stated that the matter was transferred to the higher authorities, but “the application was not accepted because the delay at the start of the round-2 brakes the entire schedule of all India”, which was approved by the Ministry of Health of the Union and ratified by the Supreme Court.
The Plan of State Advice, as he said, had to run in Tandem with the Plan of Counseling throughout India. So, leading the second state counseling before two rounds of all Indian counseling was not feasible. DGHS asked the selection committee to return unoccupied service seats on MCC to include all India’s seat matrix from the second round of all Indian advice according to the schedule.
Dr. Akilan said in a letter to the Health Secretary Secretary that the state government’s decision to give up with super-specificity for AIQ immediately after the first round of counseling was a matter of interest. “This premature surrender is unprecedented and has not been accepted by any other state in the country. This step seriously affects the prospects of service physicians who have devoted years to government institutions, often in demanding and insufficient areas,” he said.
Tnmoa urged the government to detain the surrender of super specialized chairs until the later stages of the consulting process.
