On Tuesday, the Pakistani man was released from Canada to the United States to face the accusation of a conspiracy to carry out an attack on Jews in New York, the Ministry of Justice said.
Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, 20 years old, also known as Shahzeb Jadoon, was arrested in Canada in September.
According to Khan’s criminal complaint, he planned to travel to New York and carry out mass shooting to support the Islamic State (IS) at the Jewish Center in Brooklyn on October 7, the anniversary of the Deadly attack of Hamas 2023 on Israel.

FBI director Kash Patel wrote on X: “At the beginning of the afternoon, Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, a Pakistani citizen resident in Canada, was issued to the United States for an attempt to provide material support for ISIS and attempt to commit terrorism.”
He added that Khan allegedly planned to have his attack on October 7, 2024-the anniversary of the Hamas terrorist attack in Israel.
In the autumn of last year, Khan reportedly planned to travel from Canada to New York and perform mass shooting to support ISIS in the Jewish Center in Brooklyn, added the FBI director.
American lawyer Jay Clayton said in his statement: “He planned to use automatic weapons to kill as many members of our Jewish community, all to support IS.”
Khan reportedly revealed his plans in conversations with conspirators who were truly secret police officers, the Ministry of Justice said.
The Canadian authorities in Ormstown took about 12 miles (19 kilometers) from the US-Canada border.
Khan is accused of attempting to provide material support and resources determined by a foreign terrorist organization and an attempt to commit terrorist acts. If he is convicted, he could face maximum life in prison.
