
In the shocking incident, a minor girl was allegedly kidnapped, raped and forced to change her religion in the Kushinagar district in Uttarprady.
The victim’s mother filed a complaint on Monday and claimed that her smaller daughter had been kidnapped and accused of four men of committing a crime, according to the district police.
The police arrested four suspects on Tuesday and saved a smaller girl.
On the basis of the mother’s complaint, the case was registered under Section 137 (kidnapping), 64 (rape), 351 (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit (BNS) Act and the provisions of the Protection Act from sexual crimes (POCO).
During the preliminary probe, the police also found that the victim was forced to change their religion.
According to the police, the chief accused, Meraj, raped her during captivity, supported by a woman.
Inspector Anil Singh Yadav of Vishunpura in Kushinagar said: “Meraj’s accusations together with his co -drifts, Seraj, Meruddin aka Merejuddin Ansari, and Haseen Khatoon, Onles complained daughter, forced her conversion,”
In this case, additional fees were added according to section 87 BNS (kidnapping of marriage) and part of the law on illegal transformation of religion in Uttar Pradesh.
