Farmers and members of the various organizations on Tuesday paid tribute to the martyrs of farmers who lost their lives, and others who were injured during police shooting during a violent protest against fertilizers in the 2008 fertilizer.

They said they would intensify agitation if their requirements were not met.
Dyfi, SFI program
In the protest, which was held under the auspices of Dyfi and SFI, the protesters first paid honors in Raita Hutatma Stambha in Hosamani Siddappa Circle.
State Secretary Dyfi Basavaraj Pujar, who addressed the protesters, said that both the Union and state governments were unable to solve long -waiting issues of farmers, including the science price for crops, which makes the life of farmers worse every day.
Their apathy is the reason for the growing number of suicides among farmers in the district, he said.
Mr. Pujar, who said in the NDA government-led Narendra Modi-Modied, said that while the Union government has funds worth thousands of Crores to give up business loans, he has no money to give up agricultural loans.
Mr. Modi should give up all the loans of farmers to give them relief. He also accused the state government of cheating farmers by not fulfilling the promises he gave in his election manifesto even after two years.
