Cooperative supermarkets sell packs of 10 essential commodities for ₹200

Cooperation Minister V Gandhiraj on Friday launched the sale of ₹200 packets containing 10 essential commodities at supermarkets run by various cooperatives.

Addressing a function at a cooperative supermarket in Red Hills, he said Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay has directed ministers and officials to ensure that measures are taken to control prices. Items in the pack include: 250 grams of chana dal, 250 grams of moong dal, 100 grams of red chillies, 150 grams of dhaniya, 150 grams of garlic, 250 grams of tamarind, 100 grams of mustard, 100 grams of split0 grams of urad and safera dal, 5 grams

Food Minister Amudha and Tiruvallur Collector S. Kavitha were also present.
