The South African test team will be banking to support English fans against Australia in the World Championship in the 2025 Test, said coach Shukri Conrad. Conrad talked to the media two days before the clash of the Summit against Australia Pat Cummins, and said that his team was quietly convinced that he would defeat the defending champions.
South Africa reached the final of the World Championship for the first time on the back of the strong power at home. Conrad’s team has a fantastic bowling line -up from which it is expected to earn a brand with the ball in the Summit. Conrad said that while there was a slight nervousness on the side, which did not play a lot, he hoped that adrenaline would go with the help of a crowd that hopefully supports Proteas instead of their bitter opponents – Australia.
“We will enjoy most of the support, all English will support us. It’s a huge opportunity, we can’t wish it. We ensure we settled. We talk about these things rather than we wish.
South Africa urged Stuart Broad as a bowling consultant for this match. Broad called time for his career after Ashes 2024. Conrad said that the coaching staff had a productive chat with Broad and hoped they had given knowledge in a 5 -day affair.
“We had a productive chat with Stuart Broad, it was really instructive. If I didn’t call time at 22:30, we wouldn’t get up,” Conrad laughed.
“In a test cricket and heart”
Conrad asked the position of South Africa in the growing world of the Lig T20 and said that he and his team held the format near their hearts. The reaction of the coach was contradictory to what the team has shown in the last 24 months.
In the current cycle, the South Africa decided not to send a single best player to the test series (VS New Zealand), because the plan came to meet the SA20, the competition of the Premier T20 country. Conrad, however, stressed that South Africa respected the test cricket and that they wanted the red ball format to remain the peak of sport.
“Lord’s is home to cricket. We keep a test cricket very expensive. Any format,” Conrad said.
“Unjust loading of this group with the brands of the past”
The WTC Final 2025 will be the second clash of the summit that South Africa will play in two years. In 2024, they lost the World Cup finals against India from the winning position and now faced Australia at Lord. Asked about the “Choker” brand Conrad, he said it was unfair to mark the current group for the failure of the past. He said the team was doing well and constantly performing at the last four ICC tournaments. Conrad said he hoped his team would pull one over Australia in the last match with the red ball, started on June 11th.
“It is unfair to burden this group with anything that happened before. You cannot wish it. We want to win the ICC event and we do not carry any brand that comes to the finals. The more the finals you play, the better your chance of winning and we have a chance.
