CBDT plans to buy ₹5,000 crore land for offices and staff hostels in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru | Today’s news

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has identified MTNL’s land at Connaught Place in New Delhi worth about ₹2,000 crore for the new office and is looking for plots in Santa Cruz and Powai in Mumbai and in Bengaluru for offices and staff quarters, officials said. Plans include setting up residential facilities for about 1,000 officers in Mumbai in the medium term, one of them added.
