South Central Railway (SCR) will launch Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 5.0 in its jurisdiction from November 1 to 30, which will enable pensioners to submit their annual life certificates through a simple digital process without visiting the pension disbursement offices.

Two mobile applications for submitting life certificates

The campaign is aimed at ensuring seamless continuation of pension payments through Aadhaar-based biometric authentication and facial recognition technology. Under the initiative, pensioners can submit their life certificates using smartphones by installing the ‘Aadhaar Face RD (Early Access)’ app developed by UIDAI and the ‘Jeevan Pramaan’ app available on Google Play Store.

Details needed during the process

After completing the verification process, pensioners will be asked to provide details such as their Aadhaar name, pension type, Pension Payment Order (PPO) number, pension account number, sanctioning authority and disbursing agency details.

After entering the required information and accepting the declaration, the application will generate a digital life certificate. After successful authentication, pensioners will receive an SMS containing Jeevan Pramaan ID (Pramaan ID) and a link through which the certificate can be downloaded and accessed online.

The digital device eliminates the need for pensioners, especially seniors and people with mobility issues, to physically visit pension offices each year for verification. The campaign posters were unveiled by SCR Chief Financial Advisor Hema Suneetha according to a press release issued on Wednesday (October 28, 2026).
