Two more suspects in spy trap case sent to 14-day judicial custody in Vijayawada

A Vijayawada court on Wednesday sent two more accused arrested in the espionage-cum-med trap case to 14-day judicial custody till November 10, Andhra Pradesh Counter Intelligence Cell (CIC) police said in a report.

The accused, Raja Kumar and Aditya Kumar, were arrested in a joint operation by Andhra Pradesh CIC and Bihar Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), days after several suspects, including a Visakhapatnam-based naval officer, were arrested in ‘Operation Firewall-2026’.

The accused, natives of Raxaul, a border town near Nepal in Bihar, allegedly shared one-time passwords (OTPs) of Indian SIM cards with Pakistani intelligence operatives, which are used for espionage activities.

The investigation is still ongoing.
