Telangany’s government intensifies its determined fight against Polavara (Godavari) -Banakacherla (Krishna -Penna) scheme of the system designed on Friday Andhra Pradesh to protect the rights to irrigation N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday.
He said that the state government wrote more letters to the center that already emphasize serious violations of AP and require immediate intervention. In the letter Union Jal Shakti, the Minister of Cr Patil 22.
In an informal interaction with the media, he pointed out that the project was revealed during a press conference on December 29 last year without presenting a detailed report on the project (DPR) or looking for any compulsory approval.
He stressed that AP did not receive a technical permit from the Central Water Commission (CWC) and approval from the Godavari (GRMB) Council, the Council of the Krishna River (KRMB) and APEX Council, as stipulated by the AP 2014 reorganization Act.
“Without these approval, no project on interstate rivers could continue.
He made it clear that these sections could not suppress part of the IX of the Act, which deals with the International Water Management in the River, requires technical forgiveness, interstation consultations and the approval of the peak council before continuing any project. He noted that the AP project also violated the GODAVARI WATER DISSUTES TRIBUNAL (GWDT) from 1980, which brought 966 TMC FT Water to Telangana from a total of 1,486 TMC FT.
Mr. Reddy claimed that AP was trying to catch non -enabled and unified “flood water”, which belongs to both states. “These so -called“ flood water ”are not extremely water that AP can claim. They are subject to fair sharing and any diversion directly affects the regions susceptible to the dry telangan, ”he said, adding that he mentioned all these aspects in his letters.
The indication that the AP had no proposal with TELANGANA nor gave any DPR to check the relevant advice. He noted that AP did not send the DPR project together with its several letters to the Ministry of Finance Union and the Ministry of Jal Shakti, which was looking for funds and described it as an attempt to introduce the center and enforced the project without control.
He also violated the previous government of Bharat Rashtra Samith (BRS) for silent on the project of irrigation of Rayalseem and expand the head regulator of the Pothiredypad (PRP) head.
