On Friday, the state government announced a holiday for educational institutions, including professional universities.
The press release issued by the main Minister of Pinarayi by Vijayan’s Office did not bring any reason to the decision.
However, this came as a result of the Muslim League Indian Union and Congress, which demanded that the government renewed the Bakrid holiday on Friday.
The government moved the Bakrid holiday to June 7 and followed the Islamic religious calendar. He said that June 7 (Saturday) would be a holiday for all government authorities in Kerala, including all public sector businesses, all educational institutions, including professional universities under the 1881 tradable instruments Act.
