Fifty -five daily “Robin” is the latest addition to the team of the detective dog group of the district police in the orangalur. The puppy will be trained in the near future when detecting narcotic substances.
The male puppy belonging to the Labrador Retríver breed was purchased from Madurai to become a new addition to the detective dog team. He was baptized by the “Robin” superintendent of the police, pernbalur, Adarsh Pacher.
Police sources said that the puppy would take care of two handlers, where it would provide basic training in obedience and other aspects by September. In October, he will be sent for specialized training in narcotic substances to Chennai or Coimbatore or Madurai, sources said.
Specialized training will be detected by narcotic substances on vehicles on board, in addition to searching for people, building and ground ground sources. The detective dog group of the pernbal -police police currently had two detective dogs – one trained in the detection of explosive substances and the other for the detection of crimes.
