Why Rahul Gandhi is silent on his promises to Telangana youth: KTR

Hyderabad

BRS working president KT Rama Rao questioned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s silence and alleged that he was turning a blind eye to the promises he made to the youth ahead of the assembly elections.

He claimed that Mr. Gandhi walked the earth talking about the youth and the opportunities denied to them by the BJP government. “Why is he not coming to Telangana with his Chatron ki Goonj,” he asked on the program to invite the minority leader to the BRS.

The BRS working president asked if Mr Gandhi was happy that Telangana had become an “ATM” for the Congress leader and alleged that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was acting as an “ATM card” for the party leadership.

Mr. Rama Rao said that during the Assembly election campaign, Mr. Gandhi promised to implement six guarantees within 100 days, fulfill 13 declarations and fulfill a total of 420 promises. However, he claimed that the government has failed to provide satisfactory answers on their implementation.

KTR alleged that the CM responded to criticism with personal attacks and cases instead of addressing the issues raised by the opposition. According to him, questioning the government is the right of the opposition party and the democratic right of the people.

The BRS chief leveled allegations related to land transactions, business deals and business activities of the chief minister’s family members. He also sought details of business deals allegedly involving another family member and a deal worth ₹1,000 crore linked to the chief minister’s brother living in the United States. He demanded transparency and clear answers to the allegations from the government.
