TGSRTC woman conductor pushed passengers out of moving bus, injured

TGSRTC bus conductor Palle Velugu was seriously injured after a passenger allegedly pushed her out of a moving bus during an altercation over transfer at Mittagudem village in Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Sunday.

According to sources, the passenger first argued with the conductor Pravalika about buying a ticket for the boy accompanying her, but later bought it.

The argument is said to have resumed when Pravalika, referring to the shortage of change, asked the passenger to collect the change while getting off the bus. The passenger allegedly became enraged and pushed the conductor out of the moving bus.

Pravalika sustained serious injuries on both his legs and was taken to the Government District Hospital in Bhadrachalam.

The incident sparked outrage among the TGSRTC employee unions in the erstwhile undivided Khammam district.

TGSRTC Employees and Workers Federation State President Veeranjaneyulu demanded that the TGSRTC management should strengthen security arrangements for bus crews and ensure strict action against those who attack employees on duty. He warned of agitation if the management did not intervene in the matter.
