
The incident occurred on Thursday 5th June in Kharja No. 5 Locking Saket Court in Nový Delhi, where he was underlined by two other prisoners.
Undertrial prisoner, 24 -year -old Aman, was brought to lock for production in court.
At the time of the incident, several prisoners were also present inside the lock when two prisoners, Jitender and Jaidev attacked Aman, which led to his death.

According to the police in Delhi, Jitender and Aman shared long -term hostility stemming from an earlier offensive incident in 2024, which took place outside prison. During this incident Aman reportedly attacked Jitender and his brother with a knife, which led to the current violent confrontation inside the lock.
“It seems that the rivalry persisted and escalated during their custody,” DCP said.
Aman, resident of Govindpuri, suffered serious injuries in the attack and was immediately hurried to medical examination, but was declared dead during treatment, he said.
The body was sent for postmort and a murder case is registered.
Another investigation is underway.
