K. Chidambaram takes charge as a member of the Bar Council of India from Andhra Pradesh

K. Chidambaram took charge as a member of the Bar Council of India (BCI) representing Andhra Pradesh in the presence of BCI Chairman and Rajya Sabha Member Manan Kumar Mishra, AP Bar Council Chairman Yalamanjula Balaji and others in New Delhi on Saturday.

On the occasion, Mr. Balaji and Mr. Chidambaram urged the BCI Chairman to extend social and insurance benefits for advocates to all states in line with the schemes available to advocates in Delhi.

They emphasized the need for a comprehensive framework for providing social security to advocates across the country and called for coordinated action by the BCI and state governments.

Assuring them that the matter would be considered, Mr. Mishra stressed the importance of strengthening the social security schemes of advocates and ensuring their social security.
