Narayana’s family is participating in the election campaign in Nellore
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has stepped up its campaign for the Nellore municipal elections, with family members of the city administration and Urban Development Minister Ponguru Narayana taking the lead. His wife Ponguru Ramadevi and daughters Sindhura and Sharani are touring various divisions in the city to campaign for alliance candidates.
Ms. Ramadevi and her daughters visit around 12 divisions every day. Despite heavy rain, they campaigned across several divisions on Friday, accompanied by members of the TDP women’s wing.
Ms. Ramadevi interacted with residents and local business owners seeking their support for the alliance’s candidates. She urged voters to support corporator candidates Darshi Harikrishna, Dharmavaram Ganesh, Potluri Ramakrishna and Kapira Revathi, apart from mayoral candidate Roop Kumar Yadav.
Led by Ms Sharani, alliance leaders campaigned in various divisions seeking votes for Kuvvarapu Balaji (14th Division), Kamma Kalyani (16th Division), Kartam Pratap Reddy (19th Division) and Ganesam Venkateswarlu (20th Division).
Ms. Sindhura campaigned in Bhagat Singh Colony, covering Divisions 71 and 72, and in Venkateswarapuram Centre. She said Nellore witnessed significant development during the TDP tenure, with ₹6,000 crore being spent on the development of the city in just two years and three months.
She also highlighted the development initiatives launched during the TDP tenure and said permanent land title deeds were given to the displaced residents of Bhagat Singh Colony under the leadership of Mr. Narayana.
