The winning run seems to be continuing for Sheetal Devi at the moment, both in and out of the archery arena. Sheetal has been in stunning form and has been collecting accolades during the Asian Para Games in Nagoya. She won double gold, one silver, equaled the world record and set a new one.

But now the Indian archer has added a new honor to her name in the field of academics. The 19-year-old player revealed on Instagram that she has her 12th grade results and has successfully passed them.

HOW SHETAL STUNNED THE WORLD IN NAGOYA

Sheetal took archery by storm on Thursday, October 22, winning two gold medals in just a few hours.

The triumph came less than two hours after she teamed up with Toman Kumar to win the mixed team title, taking her medal tally at the Games to three.

The reigning world champion at the Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park multi-purpose venue showed tremendous composure to recover from a four-point deficit to overcome Singapore’s Alim in a tight contest.

The Indian faced an uphill battle after Alim built a four-point lead in the opening two ends, each containing six arrows. With Singapore building pace, Sheetal needed a strong response to turn the final around.

She did just that, finding the mark with six 10-point shots, including three X’s, over the next two ends. The stunning sequence turned the match in her favor and gave her a two-point cushion heading into the decisive final three arrows.

With the gold medal within reach, Sheetal kept her cool and scored 27 points with three consecutive 9s. Alim could only manage 26, shooting 9, 8 and another 9 as the Indian sealed the title with a brilliant late surge.

Sheetal also has an underline her desire to participate in the Olympics in LA even in the able-bodied category.
