Months before the elections of the State Assembly, the Bihar Cabinet, chaired by Nitish Kumar, Tuesday (June 3, 2025), nodded for 4,799 jobs of different categories in different government offices.
In the education department, a maximum of 2,361 jobs of various categories were created, followed by 1350 jobs in the Cities and Housing Department.
A total of 47 decisions with the proposal of the Ministry of Education to create 1,503 functions were taken at the cabinet meeting, of which 568 were the EDO development (EDO) and 935 functions (AEDO) functions under Bihar Education Administrative Cadre Rules 2025.
The decision to create these contributions will help to make micro monitoring schools from primary to higher secondary levels to ensure quality education in the state, he said.
The assistant of the Education Officer gets a job in checking and monitoring schools every 10 Panchayats, while an official for the development of education will monitor schools at the level of the block.
There are 8 053 Panchayat in Bihar, while there are 534 blocks in the state.
Cabinet also created 818 posts for Bihar State Educational Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. In addition, two positions of real estate officers were created for three years and 38 assistant assistants were created.
“The cabinet also nodded at the proposal of the City Development and Housing Department to create 1350 jobs for operating offices established under the planning office in every district,” Siddharth said.
It also created 653 jobs for Bihar State Jeevika Fundit Credit Cooperative Federation LTD, a patna consisting of the 1935 Bihar Cooperative Society Act, said that 390 contributions for women and the development society were created for better implementation and monitoring of women’s domestic law.
The law provides for the creation of protection functions in each district to ensure the protection of women from domestic violence. These officers will be appointed at the headquarters (corporation)/ district and sub-division.
The cabinet also nodded to create 15 contributions in the General Administration Department (GAD), while 28 contributions were created to expand and strengthen public health engineering (PHED).
In another main decision, the Bihar cabinet also reduced VAT levels from 29% to 4% to aircraft turbine fuel (ATF).
Mr. Siddharth claimed that this step would allow the aircraft to be complemented in a heat. This would increase the number of flights and make the state competitive as neighboring states.
In another important decision, children (aged 3-6) will be obtained by pre -school education in Anganwadi centers now provided by uniforms prepared by jeevik in Bihar.
In this respect, the cabinet decided to make a change in the current provision according to which 400 GBP per year per year is provided to the parents’ bank accounts.
