Zoho’s Sridhar Vembu reveals why he hates racist, anti-Indian people: “He won’t find respect until…” | Today’s news
Zoho co-founder Sridhar Vembu responded to American mathematician and podcaster Eric Weinstein’s post on X about people against India. To this Vembu replied that India will not get real respect around the world until it develops through its own people and their talent. Vembu further commented on hatred towards India, Indians, Hindus and Indian Americans. He said he hated “racists”.

Speaking to X, Weinstein said he has seen an increase in hostility towards Indians and Hindus. He wrote: “I see a lot of growing raw hatred towards India, Indians, Hindus, Indo-Americans, etc. for no reason. I would like someone who feels this hatred to cut me off quietly. Simple. Pure. Thanks in advance.”
Sridhar Vembu replied to him, “Until India develops on the basis of the talents of our own people, we will not find real respect in the world, no matter where the right, left or center rules.”
“Build, Build, Build”
The co-founder remained hopeful and said he hates anyone who doubts Indians and their capabilities. He shared that he wanted to answer them with work instead.
Sridhar Vembu added: “A racist shows us a mirror and asks, ‘If your nation is smart, why do you want to come here.’ I hate him, I want to respond by building. Some Indians agree with the racist and think that India will never develop. I hate them too, I want to respond by building. Societies and nations are built by people who believe that it is urgently possible to build and build a national priority.”
Who is Sridhar Vembu?
Sridhar Vembu was born in a village in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu into a family that was primarily associated with agriculture.
Vemba was built by Zoho in the 1990s. It originated from a small apartment in the suburbs of Chennai. The startup was originally called “AdventNet” which later evolved into Zoho Corporation and later became a ₹ 1,00,000 crore multinational corporation.
He now serves as the Chief Scientist and Co-Founder of Zoho Corporation.
Zoho was started in 1996 by Sridhar, Kumar and Sekar Vembu alongside Tony Thomas.
Recently, Sridhar Vembu went viral after he announced that the company has suspended annual salary hikes and reduced marketing spending due to uncertain business prospects and rising artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure costs.
He said: “We’ve cut our marketing budget. We’ve also told our staff that we can’t get the usual pay rise this year. I apologized that I couldn’t avoid it.”
