Pat Cummins and Sunrisers Hyderabad kept trying different plans, constantly changing fields and mixing up their lengths to disrupt his rhythm, but he remained completely locked in his own bubble throughout the innings. This level of awareness among young people about the game is remarkable for V.“The most impressive thing about Vaibhav Sooryavanshim is that he is clear about preparation and routines at just 15 years old. Hearing him talk about visualizing matches, studying bowlers and mentally preparing before matches shows a level of maturity that is very rare at that age,” he said.

The former Royal Challengers Bengaluru star even compared Sooryavanshi’s approach to legendary Australian opener Matthew Hayden, known for his powerful visualization routines during his playing days.“In fact, it reminded me a bit of Matthew Hayden spending time visualizing on the field before batting. Over the course of his career, many of these routines will develop, but the important thing is that Vaibhav is already creating his own habits and processes, rather than trying to copy others,” the Proteas great said.
