Indigo on Sunday (June 1, 2025) doubled its command of the WideBody Airbus A350 to 60 by converting part of its purchasing rights into a fixed order.
In April 2024, Indigo announced its first order 30 Airbus A350 along with shopping rights of another 70 aircraft. Of the other, 30 aircraft were not converted into a fixed order.
Delives from the original order start in 2027 and will continue until the beginning of the 30th year, after which the deliveries from the last order will begin, said Pieter Elbers CEO at the press event on the outskirts of the annual General Meeting of the International Air Transport Association 2025
The extended order comes at a time when the airline is to enter the European market with continuous flights to Manchester and Amsterdam in early July.
