Speaking to reporters in Kalaburagi town on Tuesday, Mr Kharge said he had written to the Prime Minister on the issues and would explain the implications of the revision and delimitation of the electoral roll, besides seeking to clarify the delay in implementing reservation for women.

“I have personally written to the Prime Minister in this regard,” he said, adding that he would elaborate on his concerns during their interaction on Wednesday.

Mr. Kharge greeted people across the country on Dasara and expressed hope that the festival would bring happiness to all. Referring to the distress caused by deficit rainfall, he hoped that the change in weather conditions would bring much-needed relief.

It calls for a grand celebration of Dasara in Kalyana Karnataka

In parallel with the Mysuru Dasara celebrations, Mr. Kharge called for a grand Dasara festival in the Kalyana region of Karnataka, preferably in Kalaburagi, from next year to promote cultural heritage and promote unity across the state.

He said he would discuss the proposal with Chief Minister DKShivakumar and explore the possibility of organizing a celebration that would attract the general public and promote social harmony.
