Sanju Samson’s Rajinikanth fandom goes to the next level, booking an entire theater for Jailer 2

Taking his admiration for superstar Rajinikanth to another level, Indian batsman Sanju Samson booked an entire cinema to watch the Tamil actor’s latest film, Jailer 2 with his wife and friends.

Samson, who has often spoken about his love for Rajinikanth’s films, was excited to catch the film on the big screen after missing the opportunity to watch it on its release day. The cricketer revealed that the incident in Delhi prevented him from watching the film earlier, but he made sure to make up for the delay.

“I love watching Rajini sir’s films and I always look forward to his next film. So I’m actually a day late. I try to watch as many of his films as possible. Yesterday we had an event in Delhi and that’s why I couldn’t watch it,” said Samson.

The goalkeeper added that he was lucky to book an entire cinema for the screening, turning the film trip into a special occasion with his family and friends.

“But today, fortunately, I was lucky enough to book the entire theatre. I invited my friends and my wife is also there. I am very excited to watch Rajini sir on the big screen,” he added.

Samson also revealed that members of the Indian team’s support staff who understand Tamil will join the screening, making it a group outing for those who share his enthusiasm for the language and his film.

“Everybody in the team and the support staff who know Tamil is coming,” he said.

Samson’s decision to hold a private screening underscores his admiration for the veteran actor, whose films have enjoyed a devoted following across generations. Rajinikanth’s screen presence, distinctive mannerisms and mass appeal made his releases major film events, especially in Tamil Nadu.

For Samson, the screening offered an opportunity to enjoy the film with loved ones while indulging in a long-standing admiration for the superstar.

The cricketer’s gesture is also likely to strike a chord with Rajinikanth’s fans, many of whom eagerly await every update from the iconic actor.
