The Visavadar seat was released after AAP MLA Bhupendra Bhayani resigned in December 2023 and later joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Visavadar in the Junagad and Kadi district in Mehsana district is planned on June 19 and counts the votes set on 23 June.
“BJP could not win here (Visavadar), so what they did, they broke up our MLA and he joined the BJP. Previously they did the same with the MLA Congress of Visavadar. Now our candidate with a high number of votes is made and it will be a close slap on the face of BJP,” Kejriwal said.
BJP secured the victory in Gujarat, but not in Visavadar, Mr. Kejriwal stressed.
Mr. Kejriwal, together with the leaders of AAP Atishi and the main Minister of Panjab Bhagwant Mann, led the campaign as a candidate for the Gopal Italia. The leaders also held the roadshow in the presence of the Party of the Party of Isudan Gadhavi.
Later Mr. Italia gave its nomination documents. The last date for filing nominations is 2 June.
BJP and Congress have not yet announced their candidates for the upcoming orders.
