Governor Thaawwareand Gehlot was shortly stuck in the elevator on the Karnataka State Open University (KSU) on Saturday morning due to suspected overload.
The incident occurred when the Governor of Muktagotri’s campus in Mysuri was to start the Indian Institute of Future Skill (IIF). The elevator, which has a capacity of six people, did not work after more individuals, including security staff, entered with the governor.
The elevator failed to get off and its doors remained closed, which led to the immediate measure of employees of the KSU and technical staff. After several anxious moments, the door was open and the governor got out safely.
The governor decided to prevent further use of the elevator and climbed the stairs to the venue.
“The problem occurred due to overload and was resolved quickly,” said SharanAppa V. Halsa.
