
District collector SRIDHAR Chamakuri on Saturday started a yoga camp in the famous sowmyanatha Swamy temple in Nandalur in the Rajampleta division in the district of Annamayya. The event, which is part of the Yogandhra 2025 initiative, has seen the participation of nearly 2,000 yoga enthusiasts, mostly youth.
The collector dealt with the assembly and emphasized the importance of practicing yoga daily for physical, mental and spiritual well -being. “Thanks to the everyday yoga routine, it will benefit from a balanced and progressive lifestyle. Yoga plays an essential role in building a pulsating and healthy Andr Pradesh,” Mr. Chamakuri said.
The collector appreciated all departments and the public for their contribution to the success of the Nandalur Yoga. The event was attended by a joint collector Adarsh Rajendran, district tourist officer Nagabhushan, higher forest officials, excise duty and police department.

Senior yoga guru Gandhavalla Balasubrahmanyam led the collection of the session and led the participants to perform various positions, respiratory techniques and dedicated dance. The collector addressing the assembly emphasized the advantages of yoga for physical and mental well -being. She said over 8 lakhs were trained throughout the Nandyal district.
She said that more yoga actions will take place in the Belum, Mahanandi and Panchal caves before the international yoga day of June.
