Four days after the deadline for submitting the seat matrix for various professional courses, no departments, including the Ministry of Higher Education, submitted it to the Karnataka Office (Kea).
The matrix of the seats of professional courses, including engineering and others, is necessary for Kea and students at this stage after the results of the joint entry test (CET).
However, due to the delay in submitting the seat matrix, there is a possibility that the consulting process will also be delayed this time.
“We need at least one week to record the seat mat after receiving the same departments. If we do not get the seat matrix, we cannot go on,” said H. Prasanna, CEO of Kea.
According to KEA information, the authorities personally met university education officials and the Department of Medical Education asking for a seat matrix. “Despite repeated requirements, there is no response from the department,” said official Kea.
For engineering courses, the Ministry of Higher Education must obtain a seat matrix from the relevant universities and submit it to the Kea. For medical, dental and nursing, this is the responsibility of the separation of medical education.
Officials of the Ministry of Higher Education stated that they compile the data and soon submit KEA. However, the matrix of the medical, dental and nursing chair will be delayed because the Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) was under the dilemma according to the Governor’s instructions not to include some members of the Senate into any committees, including university inspection.
