The CPI(M) extended the Kannur district committee meeting on October 25, 26

The two-day extended session of the Kannur district committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) will begin on October 25.

CPI(M) district secretary KK Ragesh said that a mega rally will be held in Kannur collectorate on the evening of October 26 in which more than one lakh people will participate.

Political Bureau Member Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the meeting on October 25 at 10 am at the AKG hall here. A total of 156 delegates will participate.

Party state secretary MV Govindan, central committee members PK Sreemathy, EP Jayarajan, KK Shailaja, KN Balagopal and Dineshan Puthalath, state secretariat members PK Biju, MV Jayarajan and P. Jayarajan and central committee invitee John Brittas will attend.

Family meetings were organized in 236 local party units across the district before the extended district committee meeting. Nearly two lakh party supporters attended the rally, Mr. Ragesh said.
