Main Minister Siddaramaiah released “Leading with Compassion” on Tuesday, H. Sudarshan Ballal, a nephrologist and chairman of hospitals Manipal.
This book, which was the author of Stephen David, offers “intimate but generally relevant research through the five -year journey by Dr. Balllal”. This book more than traditional biography serves as a vital source for aspiring medical professionals and leaders around the world.
A book that follows the early life experience of Dr. Balllal, goes through his key professional milestones and emphasizes key decisions and challenges that shaped his career in medicine and leadership. It provides invaluable knowledge and equip it with wisdom readers to navigate complex and constantly developing complexity of the medical landscape, both in India and at the global stage.
The preface of this work was written by MN Venkatachaliah, Padma Vibhushan Award and former Chief Judge India.
Dr. Ballal is known to be among the first in the US to achieve the Triple Board certification in internal medicine, nephrology and critical care. His return to India at the beginning of the 90s was a key moment for Indian health care when he led to the establishment of a pioneering nephrological program Manipal Hospital. Under his leadership, Karnataka witnessed the first kidney transplant for corpse and the creation of the first nephrological program of DNB.
