A team of Indian men in Satwiksairaj Ranlreddy and Chirag Shetty entered the quarterfinals of the Singapore open badminton tournament after gathering to beat the seventh Indonesian couple Sabar Karyaman Gutama and Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani (May 29, 2025).
Indians won 19-21 21-16 21-19 in an exhaustive competition, which lasted an hour and 14 minutes. In the next round they will face the second deployed Malaysian team Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin.
It was a commendable performance of the Indian duo, which after the last few weeks fought for problems with fitness.
However, there was a disappointment in the men’s competition in the men’s competition, when HS prannoy bowed after a loss of 16-21 14-21 for the French Christo Popov in preliminary Quarterfinals.
