Sony has recently enhanced its Creators’ Cloud platform, enabling select cameras to automatically upload images and videos directly to Google Drive and Adobe Lightroom. This update streamlines workflows for photographers and videographers, offering immediate accessibility for collaborative editing and organization across platforms.
Key Features of the Update
- Automatic Cloud Transfer: Users can now set their compatible Sony cameras to automatically transfer media to external cloud storage providers like Google Drive and Adobe Lightroom. This feature ensures that content is readily available for editing and sharing, even by remote collaborators.
- Enhanced Smartphone Transfer: The updated Creators’ App introduces a “differential transfer” feature, ensuring that only new or unsent files are moved during each connection. This optimizes transfer efficiency and reduces redundancy.
- Expanded Storage Options: Sony offers various cloud storage plans within the Creators’ Cloud platform. All users receive 5GB of free storage, while Sony camera owners are granted 25GB. For those requiring more space, premium tiers are available, offering up to 500GB.
- Advanced Remote Control: The Creators’ App now provides enhanced control options, allowing users to adjust camera settings directly from their mobile devices. This feature offers greater flexibility, especially in complex shooting environments.
