
The Head of the State Committee for Public Transport (APPTD) on Wednesday (May 28) called on the government to approve the promotion of RTC employees, which, as they said, is waiting for the last six years.
The State President of the Union P. Damodar Rao and the Secretary General of GV Narsayya, together with the chairman of Andra Pradesh Jac-Amaravati Bopparaju Venkateswarl, submitted to the main minister Muddada Ravicandra.
They said that nearly 3,000 RTC employees were waiting for promotional events for more than six years. They stated that the government should allow APSRTC to recruit employees and buy new buses to improve public transport infrastructure of almost 11,000 vacancies.
Their other requirements included payment of arrears for 24 months at the 11th Commission for Review (PRC) and permission for the waiting remuneration and boundary of seizure of retirement employees. They also wanted the government to operate the Medical System of Retirement (REMS) and asked the CEO of NTR Trust to formalize its procedures and instructions.
They were looking for an alternative employment for employees declared medically unfit; They were also looking for a job security for outsourcing staff in the department.
They insisted on immediate execution of the 12th CL and demanded that the authorities immediately announce interim relief.
