Hyderabad-based Raghu Vamsi Group, through its UK manufacturing arm PT Precision Machined Components (PT-PMC), has signed a three-year memorandum of understanding with the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Center (AMRC).
The agreement with AMRC, a leading superalloy and monocrystalline casting institute, will strengthen its manufacturing footprint in the UK and India and support its diversification into the aerospace and defense sectors. It will help bring in AMRC’s expertise and build know-how for the superalloy plant the Group has proposed in Telangana, Raghu Vamsi said on Thursday (Oct 15, 2026).
As part of the collaboration, PT-PMC and AMRC will work together to strengthen manufacturing processes and introduce advanced, digitally enabled processes across PT-PMC’s UK operations. Their partnership will also address specialized capabilities and technology enhancements to meet the future demands of the sector.
The MoU is an important step in Raghu Vamsi Group’s journey to build globally competitive manufacturing. “As we have set up a superalloy plant and R&D center in Telangana, this collaboration will help us build the technology base for the sector with a vision to make the state a global leader in superalloys,” said Vamsi Vikas Ganesula, Managing Director, Raghu Vamsi Group.
A key focus will be on strengthening the supply chain between the UK and India, an article that reflects the growing strength of trade between the two countries. AMRC will assess the logistics, carbon impact and inventory associated with the movement of materials between the UK and India and the partners will explore ways to improve efficiency and prepare PT-PMC for relevant aerospace and defense industry accreditations.
