
Crisis Manipur: Forty -four Mla is ready to create a new government in manipur, legislator Bharatiya Janata (BJP) Thokchom Radhesyam Singh on Wednesday after meeting with Governor Ajay Kumar Bhallla, the press agency reported.
Singh, along with nine other MLAs, met with Governor in Raj Bhavan.

“Forty -four Mla is ready to create a government according to people’s wishes. We handed it over to the Governor. We also discussed what solutions could be for this matter,” he said. “Governor noted what we were supposed to say and start steps in the best interest of people,” he added.
However, he said that the central leadership of BJP will decide.
“However, informing us that we are ready is similar to be entitled to create a government. A speaker who meets the Satyabrates individually and together with 44 mills. There is no one who opposes the creation of a new government,” Singh said.
“People face too much difficulty. In the previous term, two years were lost due to Covid and during this period the next two years were lost,” he said.
President’s rule since February
Manipur has been under the government of the President since February after BJP N Biren Singh resigned to the main minister, in the middle of criticism about the solution of ethnic clashes between Meiteis and Kuki-Zos that broke out in May 2023.
60-member rally has 59 MLA, with one seat is for the death of the legislature. In the BJP coalition there are 32 Meitei MLA, three Muslim MLA manipuri and nine Naga lawmakers, a total of 44.
Congress has five MLAs – All Meiteis. The remaining 10 MLA is Kukis – seven of them won the last elections on the BJP ticket, two belong to the Kuki Peoples alliance and one is independent.
Development comes in the middle of massive protests in the Imphal valley, which was receiving Meitei, over the hiding of the name of the state written on the front inclination of the government bus by security forces.

Meitei groups demanded an apology from the Governor of the Incident, which occurred on May 20 in Gwaltabi, and the resignation of the main secretary, DGP and security advisor.

Since the beginning of an ethnic dispute in May 2023, in which more than 250 people were killed, the Meitei groups have claimed that the territorial integrity of the state is non-regothabitable in any peace process, while Kuki-Zo’s clothing claims that the only solution to resolve the crisis is to create separate management for hilly districts.
The Gwaltabi incident has joined the tension that has been declining in recent months to kill measures that the center has taken to return peace to the state.
