Almost 25% of medical emergencies in Osmania General Hospital (OGH) will arrive late at night. This made the hospital to introduce continuous services to help patients to better support patients during critical hours.
On Tuesday, the hospital launched a reserved HELP board along with the help line to provide continuous mobility, navigation and support for patient care.
The unused space next to the ramp near the OP block and the victim’s area has been converted into a well -equipped device for war rooms to coordinate the help of patients.
The aim of this service is to ensure early availability of basic equipment, such as wheelchairs and stretchers, which are often critical in emergencies, especially in large and complex hospital areas. With a dialysis center in a hospital, which is given daily to 120-130 patients and numerous optional surgery requiring the patient’s assistance at all times, this initiative deals with an urgent need for 24/7 support, the edition said.
The Help Desk will be employed by more than 20 trained volunteers from the Assserma Hand Foundation (HHF) and operates in three shifts to ensure continuous support. These volunteers will help patients with mobility, navigation through hospital departments, outpatient services and provide special care to unknown or homeless.
Basheer and Sarwar Babu Khan Human Development Trust (BSB HDT) have committed to supporting Help Desk and HHF partnership, which has been involved in the OGH for more than ten years.
Early availability of wheelchairs and stretchers, especially at night or hours, is critical in medical emergencies and, by having continuous services, will receive many patients in time to rescue, said Superintendant OGH Rchessh Sahay.
Patients and operators have access to aid through a specialized line number 7780288622, available 24×7 to lead and help them when visiting the hospital.
