Two laborers from Andhra Pradesh drown in a farm well in Telangana’s Jagtial district

Two construction workers from Andhra Pradesh drowned on Tuesday (October 13, 2026) night after they allegedly slipped into an agricultural well on the outskirts of Chintakunta village in Kathalapur mandal of Jagtial district, Telangana.

The bodies of 25-year-old Anand Babu and 23-year-old Koth John, both natives of Vinukonda in Palnadu district, were found floating in a well early on Wednesday.

The police recovered the bodies after being alerted by local villagers and took them to the Government General Hospital in Jagtial for post-mortem. The two are suspected of accidentally slipping into the well while sitting on its edge on Tuesday night.

A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
