Steps to protect government Sanskrit High School, Fort, in the capital of the state will be taken, said the Minister of General Education V. Sivankutty.
He spoke after visiting the school on Monday. Antony Raja, Mla, accompanied the minister.
Twenty-one students studied at the school in the academic year 2024-25. Only one Surya Thilakesh student appeared for SSLC exams. Minister and Mla congratulated a student who became eligible for higher studies.
Currently, the school has 25 students, five of whom in class X.
Sanskrit learns the first and second language at school. The Minister said that the steps would be taken to make Malayalam the subject of school. Currently, the teacher is coming to teach Sanskrit at school three days a week. A temporary Sanskrit teacher would be appointed to stay full -time school.
The Minister reported the amount of 1 crore 1 crore 1 crore, he said.
