
Priyank Panchal, veteran Gujarat dough and former India captain, announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Monday and ended his home career that lasted almost two decades. In the emotional remark, he attributed the constant support and encouragement of his deceased father as the basis of his way.
Priyank played 127 first -class matches and accumulated 8,856 runs in an impressive average of 45.18, of which 29 centuries and 34 fifties. He performed in the cricket list in 97 matches, scored 3,672 runs at 40.80 with eight centuries and added 1,522 runs in 59 T20s.
In his farewell remark, Panchal wrote: “It’s an emotional moment. It’s an enriching moment. And it’s a moment that fills me with a lot of gratitude. And most importantly, I have read all the news.
Although he did not reach the Indian senior team, Panchal remained accessories in India, often side captain and mentoring younger talents. His most memorable season came in 2016-17, when he accumulated a stunning 1,310 runs in the ranja Trophy, including the career of the best 314 not an out-first triple century Gujarat in the history of the competition. Gujarat continued to raise his title Maiden Ranji Trophy this season.
Rightman also performed in the campaigns of the winning titles of Gujarat in Vijay Hazare Trophy (2015-16) and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (2012-13 and 2013-14), which has stiffened his reputation as the top of the order.
In a deep personal passage, Panchal remembered the influence of his late father:
“But the book is not packed. Anyone knows me knows how much I bibliophile.
“I wasn’t supposed to be. My dad was a long -term source of strength for me. I was touched by the energy he gave me, the way he encouraged me to watch my dreams, got up from a relatively small city and dared to wear an Indian cap of one day.
Thanks to his mother, sister and wife, he also acknowledged their steady support during his career.
“To make my mom and my sister. Both of them stood beside me and make me become the best version of myself. They saw the glitter in my eyes as I sweat him in the burning years of Ahmedabad, rushing from one country to another to play competing games, I have been a teenager since then.”
“When I progressed through the rows, they lifted me as I felt like I was diving. They gave me buoyancy to fly when I did it well. They let me ground but never let confidence in me at any given moment. I couldn’t do it without you.”
“This, my wife and her family, who is now my family. I have found communion, love and partner for a lifetime. Someone who understood me – my strengths and weaknesses, joy, fears, dreams, everything above and behind.”

Secretary Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) Anil patel padded Panchal to a “fantastic career”, say,
“Priyank wore national colors for India as a captain and was a fertile running shooter for Gujarat for over 17 years.”
