Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday virtually launched ‘Venkatadri’, a mobile application developed by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) to help pilgrims locate essential facilities in Tirumala and get round-the-clock assistance.

The AI-powered app features a voice assistant that guides devotees to drinking water points, darshan entrance gates, medical centers, toilets, parking areas and food outlets. Its offline navigation facility allows pilgrims to access routes even in areas with poor or no internet connectivity.

The app maps more than 350 places in 25 categories, including hospitals, bus stands, baggage counters, accommodation allotment centres, pilgrim counters, Kalyana Kattas, police stations and the Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam complex.

One-touch functionality provides access to emergency contacts, police assistance and the TTD line. Pilgrims can also check bus routes and timings. The ‘Mark My Spot’ feature helps them save their parking spot and return to it.

Available in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and English on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, the app aims to make getting around the hill shrine easier and more enjoyable. TTD is also developing kiosk access for pilgrims without smartphones.

Another executive of TTD Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary and a US-based NRI philanthropist showcased the app to the Chief Minister who appreciated the initiative to improve access to services for pilgrims.
