Chief Minister Revanth Reddy extended ₹6,000 financial assistance to relatives of Jagtial youth killed in Ukraine war

The Telangana government has announced a financial assistance of ₹6,000 to the family of Vavila Sudarshan Goud, a native of Hasanabad village in Jagtial district, who was killed in the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian conflict. The aid was approved by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy after the intervention of Social Affairs Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar.

Sudarshan Goud reportedly traveled to Ukraine about four months ago to look for job opportunities. He lost his life amid rocket and drone attacks in the war-torn region and his family was destroyed.

Expressing deep concern over the incident, the Chief Minister expressed his condolences to the bereaved and assured them of the government’s support in their time of grief.

The matter came to the attention of the Chief Minister after Sudarshan Goud’s wife sought help. Responding to the family’s request, Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar personally discussed the issue with the Chief Minister and sought immediate support for the family. Revanth Reddy acted quickly on the minister’s recommendation and sanctioned ₹6,000 from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).

As per the Chief Minister’s instructions, the officials issued the necessary orders to release the financial assistance. The government expects the aid to provide immediate relief to a family struggling emotionally and financially following a tragic loss.

Apart from financial support, the chief minister directed officials to take all necessary steps to facilitate the repatriation of Sudarshan Gouda’s remains to India. Authorities have been directed to coordinate with relevant authorities and expedite arrangements to take the body to his native village for final rites.

The family members expressed gratitude to Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar for his special intervention and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for expeditiously extending financial assistance and ensuring efforts to bring back Sudarshan Gouda’s mortal remains.
