
Kidambi Sricant fell without a fight in the Malaysia Open finals. Sricant, who won a silver medal at the World Championship in Huelva, lost 11-21, 9-21 at Li Shi Feng in China in 36 minutes on Sunday, May 25.
Previously, 32 -year -old SRIKANTH qualified for his first BWF finals in almost six years after completion as a finalist in the India Open 2019. In the semifinals of the Indian pendulum defeated Japanese World No. 23 Yushi Tanaka 21-18, 24-22 Saturday 24th May.
Sricant became the first Indian to win four BWF titles in 2017 after winning Indonesia Open, Australian Open, Denmark Open and French Open. In 2018, SRIKANTH also led India to his first Gold Commonwealth Gold at the Gold Coast team event.
In Malaysia Masters he played SRIKANTH in qualifications, then defeated Nguyen of Ireland in direct games in the 16th round 16. In the neighborhoods Sricanth had to fight hard before defeating the French junior Popov 24-22, 17-21, 22-20.
Sricant released around Tanak in the semifinals before Tamely descended against Li Shi Feng, who won his first BWF title in 2025 after last year of his Japanese master’s triumph.
Sricant, who also won gold for team action at Thomas Cup 2022 in Bangkok, did not have the best of the later times, because at the beginning of this month he slipped to No. 82 in the ranking.
Sricant could not attend the Tokyo Olympic Games after he suffered injuries and also because the qualifiers were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
